Ubicado en Sittard, Países Bajos, Chemelot es un centro de innovación líder en Europa. Regeneration Hub One acelerará el camino de Reju hacia la construcción de una infraestructura circular para la regeneración de residuos textiles a gran escala. El proyecto estará sujeto a la decisión final de inversión del consejo de Technip Energies, la empresa matriz de Reju. El centro aspira a regenerar anualmente el equivalente de 300 millones de artículos. Esta producción, procedente de residuos textiles, se transformará en Poliéster Reju, con un 50 % menos de emisiones de carbono que el poliéster virgen. Reju has selected the Chemelot Industrial Park for its first industrial-scale regeneration hub. Located in Sittard, the Netherlands, Chemelot is a leading innovation hub in Europe. Regeneration Hub One will accelerate Reju's journey toward building a circular infrastructure for large-scale textile waste regeneration. The project will be subject to a final investment decision by the board of Technip Energies, Reju's parent company. The hub aims to regenerate the equivalent of 300 million items annually. This output, sourced from textile waste, will be transformed into Reju Polyester with 50% lower carbon emissions than virgin polyester. The Reju Polyester will then be reintroduced into the downstream supply chain, where it will be converted into consumer-ready yarns and fabrics.. En el marco del Foro Internacional organizado por PEFC Japón, celebrado con motivo de la Expo 2025 Osaka/Kansai, PEFC España ha firmado, junto a otros representantes nacionales de PEFC y PEFC Internacional, la Declaración Conjunta de Osaka. Este compromiso colectivo refuerza el papel esencial de la certificación forestal en la construcción de una sociedad sostenible, alineada con los ODS de Naciones Unidas. El foro destacó la importancia de los bosques y de los sistemas de certificación como pilares fundamentales para un desarrollo económico y ambientalmente equilibrado. La declaración recoge tres líneas de acción prioritarias: expandir la superficie de bosques certificados PEFC en todo el mundo, fomentando la gestión forestal sostenible a escala global; impulsar la presencia de materias primas y productos certificados en los mercados, asegurando una trazabilidad transparente desde el origen forestal hasta el consumidor final, y sensibilizar al público general sobre la importancia de la certificación forestal. Within the framework of the International Forum organized by PEFC Japan, held on the occasion of Expo 2025 Osaka/Kansai, PEFC Spain, along with other national representatives of PEFC and PEFC International, signed the Osaka Joint Declaration. This collective commitment reinforces the essential role of forest certification in building a sustainable society, aligned with the United Nations SDGs. The forum highlighted the importance of forests and certification systems as fundamental pillars for balanced economic and environmental development.
