transformation, not only in the materials but in the entire creation process. We apply sustainable criteria from the initial design phase, proposing: reduction of raw materials, especially in large volumes; use of recycled and FSC®-certified materials; recyclable, compostable solutions adapted to the local environment; mono-material designs for easy recycling; collaboration with local partners to reduce the logistics footprint. In addition, we develop reusable and visually appealing packaging solutions that strengthen brand ties and extend the life of the packaging. All of this without losing sight of optimizing transportation and storage. For MPO, sustainability is not an option: it's part of our value proposition, both for our customers and for the planet. To name a few of our specific offerings: lightweight rigid boxes made of durable, yet lighter materials; cardboard cradles, replacing plastic or foam cradles; exclusive box design, to eliminate magnets in flat-lid boxes. Do you take recycling and carbon footprint into account? Yes, recycling has been posited as a fundamental concept in the design, development, and creation of our products. In a world where environmental care has become a fundamental principle, both recycling and carbon footprint have become mandatory considerations in the manufacturing of our products. Our goal in this regard is to reduce our own carbon footprint, as well as help our clients calculate theirs, so that—together—we can find the path to a more sustainable world. What certifications do you have? Are they increasingly valued by clients? We have FSC, ISO 9001, and ECOVADIS Gold certifications, which are not only increasingly valued by clients but also an important parameter when establishing a lasting collaboration with all our stakeholders. The MPO group has offices in Spain and France. Are you planning to expand to other countries? We have offices in Spain, France, Germany, and the UK. We are currently working to consolidate our position in these markets and, in the future, seek new territorial opportunities. However, we occasionally work with other countries, without any limitations in this regard. Our additional specialty in Spain is POS. What type of POS is most in demand? Has it changed in recent years? It depends a lot on the sector, the channel and the positioning of the brands. In perfumery retail, cardboard POS has experienced a boom in recent years, establishing itself as an interesting option due to its versatility, sustainability and customisability. Cardboard, a lightweight material that is easy to transform, offers brands the opportunity to create stylish, functional and ecoresponsible display furniture and displays. It also meets the market's need for a good balance between speed of development/production and competitive pricing. The trend in some sectors is also to consolidate annual campaigns on the basis of constructively standardised models with creative customisation options. At MPO, we work to offer innovative and resistant cardboard displays, with options that integrate eco-design criteria and optimisation of environmental impact, without compromising on visual or functional quality. We collaborate with clients as a team, in order to achieve, from the design stage, the POS element that adapts to their needs, advising and proposing different solutions, aligning ourselves with their expectations. Do you also make material for perfume and cream samples? Yes, we also make blotters for perfume samples and we have a wide variety of design proposals. Do you have any launches planned? In the packaging division, we have several projects for the coming months, focused on innovation in rigid boxes with flat lids, the investment in which was made a few months ago, and complete collections of creative packaging. There are other investment projects within MPO that will soon materialise, within the services division and related to growth in retail and ecommerce services. What objectives are set for the second half of the year? Always having as our top priority listening to our customers and brands, providing customised solutions, with great dedication and a 360º service to support their projects, continuing to move towards sustainability and process optimisation, with the aim of continuing to lead in the design and production of premium packaging and innovative POS solutions. 43 ENTREVISTA I INTERVIEW En la división de packaging, tenemos varios proyectos enfocados a la innovación en cajas rígidas con tapas planas In the packaging division, we have several projects focused on innovation in rigid boxes with flat lids ‘ Creative collection of eco-friendly cardboard boxes for the spirits market.
