47 CLÚSTER DEL PACKAGING Within the framework of the Green Impackt project, a comprehensive training program on the circular economy was implemented for Colombian SMEs, plastics collectors, and processors. The program featured the participation of leading professionals from the Packaging Cluster, CLEAN Cluster, and ANDI (National Association of Entrepreneurs of Colombia) ecosystem, offering high-quality training specifically targeted at key players in the recycling and packaging sector. This training program, held online between February 5 and April 2, 2025, was funded by the European Commission through AL-INVEST Verde and featured leading experts in sustainability, waste management, and the circular economy. Throughout nine sessions structured into five modules, participants were able to work practically on designing their own roadmap toward a more sustainable model. The main topics covered include: • Relevant legislation on plastics and packaging in Europe and Colombia. • Packaging materials, eco-design, the circular economy, and energy and water efficiency. • Analysis of the waste sector in Spain, Denmark, and Colombia. • Business sustainability: decarbonization strategies and carbon footprint measurement. • Innovation, international connections, and public financing opportunities in Colombia and Europe. The teaching team was composed of renowned industry professionals such as Marta Escamilla (Leitat), Felipe Belalcázar (ANDI), Juan Esteban (Soluciones PAL), Finn Kjær (ARGO), Mireia Andreu (All4Labels), Marianella Botta (B.Link), and Ricardo Rincón (independent consultant). Thanks to Green Impackt, Packaging Cluster strengthened its commitment to promoting circular business models and the sustainable transformation of the recycling sector, contributing to capacity building and driving new opportunities in Latin America.
