55 CLÚSTER DEL PACKAGING con otras empresas de la cadena de valor, generar sinergias y poner en marcha proyectos conjuntos de forma continua, lo que enriquece tanto nuestra visión como nuestra capacidad de innovación. Triana specializes in plastic packaging for food, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetics. How is your turnover divided between the three sectors? What types of packaging do you make? Triana distributes its turnover across three sectors: 30% in the pharmaceutical sector, 50% in food packaging, and 20% in cosmetic packaging. In the food sector, we manufacture packaging for granulated products such as salt and spices. In the pharmaceutical sector, we specialize in tubes, medication dispensers, and medical devices such as syringes, applicators, sprayers, and dosing systems. And in cosmetics, we offer cream jars. The company has just launched rPET cosmetic jars. Is the use of recycled material a growing trend? The use of rPET in cosmetic packaging is a growing and established trend. It responds both to consumer demand for more sustainable products and to the legal requirements imposed by Europe. Recently, Triana has obtained ISCC Plus and UNE-EN 15343 certifications, which reinforce its strategy for more sustainable packaging. What other measures are you implementing? In addition to these certifications, most of our products are now monomaterial, giving them high recyclability. We are also redesigning categories that still combine different materials, with the goal of transforming them into monomaterial solutions whenever technically possible. A good example of this is our tablet dispensers. This strategy allows us to facilitate recycling, reduce environmental impact, and move toward a more circular and sustainable packaging model. Triana manufactures medical devices and packaging for the pharmaceutical industry using injection molding. What are the latest innovations in pharmaceutical packaging? In the pharmaceutical sector, and continuing our commitment to PET and rPET, we have recently added a pill box made of this material to our catalog, with the aim of expanding the range to other formats and solutions in the near future. What benefits does belonging to the Packaging Cluster offer? Belonging to the Packaging Cluster allows us to access resources, knowledge, and opportunities, as well as stay up-to-date on grant and assistance applications. Ultimately, it means sharing experiences with other companies in the value chain, generating synergies, and continuously launching joint projects, which enriches both our vision and our capacity for innovation.
