AIMPLAS, Instituto Tecnológico del Plástico, celebró su 35 aniversario con un evento que reunió a más de 500 personas en sus instalaciones del Parque Tecnológico de València el 10 de julio. Juan José Cortés Vélez, director general de Innovación, puso en valor el impacto de la labor de AIMPLAS, que ha mantenido un firme compromiso con la mejora de la competitividad empresarial, la sostenibilidad medioambiental y el fortalecimiento de un ecosistema industrial resiliente. Tras una mesa redonda, el director de AIMPLAS, José Antonio Costa, presentó el plan estratégico del centro hasta 2030 y se entregaron un total de 45 galardones en reconocimiento a representantes de sus distintos grupos de interés, así como a las empresas que han permanecido como asociadas durante estos 35 años. Juan José Cortés Vélez, Director General of Innovation, highlighted the impact of AIMPLAS’s work, which has maintained a firm commitment to improving business competitiveness, environmental sustainability, and strengthening a resilient industrial ecosystem. His company, TECNIDEX, has been part of the AINIA Network and its Governing Council for more than 35 years. García-Portillo founded TECNIDEX in 1980, a leading company in post-harvest solutions for the health and quality of fruits and vegetables, with an international presence and a strong commitment to R&D. In 2017, the American multinational Agrofresh became a shareholder, and Manuel García-Portillo remains a partner and honorary president of Agrofresh Fruit Protection. Since 2015, he has led the Origen Project, which promotes sustainable development and the enhancement of the rural environment in the municipalities of Mogente, Fontanares, and Fuente la Higuera.
