The rapid evolution of the situation with respect to COVID-19 has led to the change of dates of many of the most important fair events in all areas and even, in some cases, the cancellation of events, both in Asia and Europe and the rest of the world.
In Spain, the first major cancellation was that of the Mobile World Congress, which had to be held in Barcelona during the month of February. Other fairs such as In-Cosmetics followed, which will finally take place from June 30 to July 2 in Barcelona, or Infarma, which has been postponed for the same dates in Madrid.
Two important trade fairs in food, Prowein and Alimentaria have also varied: Prowein, which takes place in Düsseldorf, Germany, has been postponed for March 21-23 next year, while Alimentaria will be held in Barcelona, from 14 to 17 September of this year. More recently, it has been announced that Pack & Spirits will take place from July 1 to 2.
More closely related to our sector, Cosmopack, initially scheduled for March, will take place in Bologna, Italy, from September 3 to 6; Fespa Global Print Expo 2020, scheduled for March 24-27 in Madrid, has been postponed (no dates yet); Luxe Pack New York, scheduled for May, has been postponed for July 8 and 9; and Luxe Pack Shanghai, scheduled for April, has been postponed for July 7 and 8.The last fair events that have been postponed are Drupa, which was to be held in June and has announced new dates for April 2021, specifically it will be from 20 to April 30; and Interpack, which has been postponed from February 25 to March 3, 2021.
