Fabregas Packaging joins the Salinas group

The Salinas group, through its subsidiary in Catalonia Latuc S.L. has sealed the acquisition of the production unit of Fabregas Packaging.
The centenary Catalan firm, a family business specializing in the production of rigid cardboard packaging for the Premium and luxury sectors, entered into a creditors' contest before the Commercial Court number 8 of Barcelona last November 2019.
With this acquisition, the Salinas group will manage three commercial brands: Cartonajes Salinas, Latuc and Fabregas Packaging, all of them dedicated to the same activity.
Salinas assumes with this acquisition the assets of the company, valued at about 9,000,000 million Euros and the productive unit, whose latest data is raised to 10,000,000 units produced in 8,000m2 of productive plant, more than fifty workers and the BRC certification of food safety and packaging of products not only food but also cosmetics and perfumery.
Faced with the diversification of other large groups, Salinas is committed to specialization and service in its main markets: Spain, France and Central Europe.
Salinas will integrate the Fabregas Packaging trademark in its business strategy, as well as the great know-how acquired by the firm for more than 100 years, with the intention of the group making a smooth and continuous transition. For its part, the Alicante firm contributes to the Fabregas Packaging business, all the semi-finished processes and graphic arts that it does not have, and a business philosophy based on the equipment and analysis, which has allowed it to maintain a sustained growth during twenty five years.
