Packaging Première (May 19-21, 2026, Milan, Allianz MiCo) welcomed 8,012 visitors from around the world. With 312 exhibitors from 21 countries and a highly qualified audience, it brought together exhibitors from the beauty, fashion, jewelry, wine and spirits, and premium gastronomy sectors, showcasing solutions that successfully combine artisanal tradition with technological innovation. “This edition confirmed that the sector is driven by a growing and structured pursuit of innovation. It’s no longer just about finding aesthetic or functional solutions: packaging has become a language, a way to build lasting relationships between brands and people. Seeing such a diverse community gathered in Milan demonstrates that dialogue between different worlds is now the true lever of innovation, ” says Lara Castagna, Events Director of Packaging Première. The leitmotif of this edition, Paper Tracks—a concept developed by Elisabetta Bonuccelli of Unokostudio—permeated every corner of the fair, resulting in a constant dialogue between craftsmanship and industry, between material and gesture. The program included 32 talks in two conference spaces—the Trend Hall and the Future Stage—with around 90 speakers, including representatives from brands, designers, creative agencies, and international guests. Design, innovative materials, and sustainability led the conversation, along with the evolution of the supply chain and the role of packaging as a tool for brand storytelling and identity. The Discovery Zone—Powered by Oropress—dedicated to startups and cuttingedge technologies, generated considerable interest, as did The Factory, the experimental space where machinery and expert artisans demonstrated live screen printing and digital printing techniques on materials such as paper, leather, fabric, glass, plastic, and metal, as well as crafts in wood, fabric, and paper. The Beauty Hub – Powered by PCD – was the specialized center for primary packaging for perfumery, skincare, makeup, and personal care. During the event, special mentions were awarded to the best stand designs: the Best Custom Stand award went to Corvasce, and a special mention to MCC Srl. The Best Prefabricated Stand award went to Furlanis. All the projects reflected the values of the edition, combining creativity, functionality, and attention to detail. A particularly significant moment was the presentation of the 2026 Woman of Packaging Italy award to Anna Paola Cavanna, sole administrator of Laminati Cavanna Spa, an award that celebrates the contribution of women to excellence and innovation in the packaging sector. The next edition is already scheduled for May 18–20, 2027, in Milan.
